Resize photos and images to an exact width or height, with the proportions kept automatically. The image keeps its format unless you choose another. Nothing is uploaded.

How It Works

  1. Choose an Image: Select or drop a JPG, PNG, WebP, ICO, or BMP image.
  2. Set the Size: Choose Resize To Width or Height, then enter the size in pixels. The other side adjusts to keep the proportions.
  3. Keep or Change the Format: The format stays the same by default. Choose another under Convert To if you like.
  4. Download: Save the resized image.

Key Features

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make an image bigger?

Yes, up to 5,000 pixels, but enlarging cannot add detail that is not in the original, so large increases look soft.

What size should images be for a website?

Make them no wider than they are shown. Around 1,600 to 2,000 pixels wide suits full-width images on large screens, and 800 to 1,200 pixels suits images within an article.

Does resizing reduce quality?

Making an image smaller keeps it sharp. JPG and WebP images are saved again at the quality you choose, so pick High (90) or Best (95) to keep the most detail.
